Member Logo use

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Air Conditioning & Mechanical Contractors Association of Australia Limited (AMCA Australia) encourages approved members to use the member logo as outlined in this guideline. The AMCA Australia logo is a registered trademark and must be used in accordance with this document. AMCA Australia grants a limited licence to use the approved logos for the period where an approved member is entirely financial for the duration of the membership period.

1. Definitions

1.1. The 'Member Logo' means the member trademark logo that can be used by an AMCA Australia Approved Member only.

1.2. The 'Approved Member' means an entity that holds Contractor, Service and Maintenance, Industry or Organisation membership as set out in the initial membership application or renewal notice.

2. Logo

Approved Members are only able to use the applicable logo in accordance with these guidelines. The logo referenced in these guidelines is:

2.1. Member Logo:

2.1.1. On and from the first day until the last day of the membership period, AMCA Australia grants the member limited use of the Member Logo for the membership period.

2.1.2. If, for any reason, the level of membership throughout the membership period changes, the Member Logo must be removed, or updated immediately to reflect the current status of membership held.

2.1.3. The use of the applicable Member Logo is only granted to the Approved Member to display and communicate that the member is a member of AMCA Australia and the level of membership held.

2.1.4. Where an employee of the Approved Member uses the logo, the logo must refer to the business entity that is a member and not the employee being a member.

3. Approved options for Member Logo use

The Approved Member can only use the applicable Member Logo outlined above in section 2 of these terms and conditions. An Approved Member may choose to use the Member Logo on any of the following marketing material to demonstrate membership of AMCA Australia, providing it can be easily removed upon cessation:

3.1. Letterhead

3.2. Invoices, quotations and proposals

3.3. Business cards

3.4. Webpage(s) for the members' business website

3.5. Email signature

3.6. Company-owned or operated vehicles

3.7. Advertising (banners, industry publications, flyers)

3.8. Such other use approved in writing by the Communications Team at AMCA Australia

4. Conditions of Member Logo use

Any Approved Member who is granted the limited use of the Member Logo must not:

4.1. Reproduce the Member Logo in any form other than originally provided or in such a way that supporting text is illegible or altered.

4.2. Use the Member Logo where it may be perceived as endorsing a particular product or document. For example, a report, letter, submission, article, logbook, certificate, presentation, means of demonstrating compliance or certification etc.

4.3. Use the logo in a way that it may be perceived that the company is AMCA Australia.

4.4. Use or permit the use of similar logos or components of the Member Logo other than under these Terms and Conditions, the AMCA Australia Code of Conduct, and the specifications directions.

5. Cessation of Member Logo use

AMCA Australia may, at its sole discretion, immediately suspend or terminate the limited use of the Member Logo if the Approved Member:

5.1. Does not comply with AMCA Australia membership terms & conditions, including the Code of Conduct.

5.2. Does not pay the required membership fee.

5.3. Is wound up or placed into external administration or ceases trading in the HVAC industry.

5.4. The membership is otherwise terminated.

6. Upon any changes to membership, it is the sole responsibility of the Approved Member to ensure that any Member Logo being used is immediately updated in accordance with these guidelines.

7. The Approved Member acknowledges that AMCA Australia is the owner of the logo and the member's right to use the Member Logo is not transferable in any way or form.

8. Upon identifying a Member Logo that is not in accordance with these guidelines, the Approved Member has seven business days to rectify this. After such time, the limited use of the Member Logo is terminated immediately.

9. It is at the sole discretion of AMCA Australia's Chief Executive Officer to terminate the licence if it has been deemed that the member has used a Member Logo in a misrepresentative or misleading way.

10. AMCA Australia may, at its sole discretion, immediately remove the members' website listing and profile page and anywhere else the Association publicly promotes the member if the member is found to not comply with any of these terms and conditions.

 

General branding requirements

11. AMCA Australia must be referred to as 'Air Conditioning & Mechanical Contractors Association of Australia Limited' or 'AMCA Australia' only.

12. AMCA Australia under no circumstance accredits, certifies, endorses or approves businesses. Any reference to accreditation, certification, endorsed or approved business will result in immediate removal from the website listings.

These guidelines will be reviewed and updated by AMCA Australia from time to time, and the latest guidelines are available for download and viewing at membership.amca.com.au/downloads. 

 

Do’s and do not’s

Please see the following examples of some common do’s and do not’s regarding the use of the AMCA Australia logo, which should be considered in accordance with the guidelines outlined above.

Use the appropriate logo in accordance with the Guidelines on:

• Member website

• Business card

• Letterhead

• Invoice, quotations, proposals

• Email signature

• Company-owned vehicle

Only refer to the Association as either:

• Air Conditioning & Mechanical Contractors Association of Australia Limited

• AMCA Australia

Being a Signatory to the AMCA Australia Code of Conduct, Approved Members can make the following statement:

• Signatory to AMCA Australia Code of Conduct

 

Do not

• Edit, amend or change any AMCA Australia logo. The logo must be used in the exact format supplied.

• Use the AMCA Australia Corporate logo 

• Make reference that a business is certified, endorsed, accredited or an approved business by AMCA Australia

• Use the Member Logo without being used in conjunction with the member's business name, logo, or both.

 

To maintain brand consistency, you must obtain written permission from AMCA Australia communications before applying the AMCA Australia logo or name to any of the following: 

• Product Packaging

• Product and service catalogues or brochures

• Certificates

• Long term printed advertising, i.e., Yellow Pages
