The AMCA maintains relationships with experienced training providers to deliver health and safety training as required. 

Training options include:

Manual handling (NSW)

This course provides risk management strategies and techniques for those who undertake manual handling tasks such as lifting, lowering, filling, emptying or carrying loads. The course is also suitable for managers, supervisors and staff responsible for work organisation, job and task design.


Licence to operate boom-type elevating work platform (NSW)

This course covers all the requirements for obtaining a national High Risk Work Licence (Class WP) for boom-type elevating work platforms. Successful completion of this course will allow you to operate any boom-type elevating work platform (EWP) including self-propelled, trailer mounted and truck mounted boom lifts with a height or reach of 11 meters or more within Australia. This course does not cover the requirements for operating vertical lift types or scissor lift type EWPs. A Yellow Card Trained Operator Licence will be required for these types of EWP.

Operate elevating work platforms (NSW)

This course covers all the requirements for obtaining an elevated work platform (EWP) trained operator licence. Participants may complete singular or multiple EWP classes as required.



Working at heights (NSW)

This course covers the requirements for those who are required to work at heights. Successful completion of this course will allow you to inspect, fit and use height safety equipment whilst working at heights. The course does not cover the requirements for industrial rope access or performing rescues from height.

Confined space entry (NSW)

This course covers the requirements for those who are required to work in confined spaces in accordance with Australian Standard 2865.2009. Successful completion of this course will allow you to identify, plan, enter and work in confined spaces with or without a breathing apparatus. The course does not cover the requirements for supervising confined space entry or issuing work permits.
