The AMCA is pleased to announce that former State Vice President Mr Andrew Johnson has been appointed as the new State President of New South Wales, following a unanimous vote from the board.

Board director Mr Matthew Knight has additionally been appointed to the position of Vice President.

These appointments follow the retirement of Mr Roger Beard as the NSW State President, in accordance with the Constitution and after two years in the position.

Mr Beard’s retirement was announced at the AMCA NSW Annual General Meeting, which took place on November 20, 2020.

Mr Johnson and the board of directors thanked Mr Beard for his tireless work as State President during his two year tenure.

Mr Beard’s reappointment as a director on the NSW board ensures that his knowledge and experience will be retained.

At the AGM, Mr Beard acknowledged the work and support of his fellow board members, highlighting Mr Johnson’s contributions in his role as Vice President.

“It has been an honour and an exciting challenge to lead such a dynamic association in this period. I look forward to working closely and successfully with you all in the future.”

Mr Beard’s work and dedication was also acknowledged by members present.

Mr Johnson and Mr Knight were warmly welcomed into their new board positions at a members’ briefing, which followed the AGM.
