NSW awards night a welcome change to celebrate

At our annual industry dinner and training awards, AMCA New South Wales and members embraced the chance to get together while celebrating the achievements of the industry’s future leaders.

After a year in which social occasions have been severely limited, this year’s NSW Industry Achievement Awards was a welcome opportunity to reconnect with members, colleagues and friends, whilst also celebrating the dedication shown by an outstanding group of young industry leaders.

Held at West HQ in Western Sydney, the evening was a warm and festive occasion with Christmas decorations and arcade games, a provided the perfect atmosphere for attendees to unwind after a tumultuous year.

Nominations for this year’s achievement awards were received from numerous member companies, with the judging panel noting that the high calibre of the finalists made the job of seletingthe winners exceptionally difficult and describing the process of meeting with all nominees as a real pleasure.

Assessed across a range of criteria including career and study achievements, communication, teamwork, leadership, and community service, all finalists have excelled in their respective fields.

Executive Director of AMCA New South Wales, Adrian Shackleton, said: “All finalists have demonstrated an outstanding attitude and dedication to their training and development, and will no doubt go on to make a great contribution to our industry.”

AMCA New South Wales congratulations all our winners and finalists for their commitment to excellence and the betterment of the industry as a whole.

Of course, evenings like the Industry Achievement Awards reply upon the generous support of partners who are also committed to the future of our industry.

Thank you to our Platinum sponsor, Croydon Industries, who presented at our Members Briefing earlier in the day and even provided gift bags for everyone in attendance.

Thanks also to our Silver sponsor, Reece-HVAC, and our two Bronze sponsors, Windsor Management Insurance Brokers and Milwaukee Tool Australia.

All these companies are long-time supporters and friends of the AMCA, and we sincerely appreciate their support.

Finally, a big thanks to the members of our volunteer judging panel—Roger Beard, Andrew Johnson, Rob Barkley and Matthew Knight, who remained committed to the process despite all the challenges this year has presented.

We hope the new year brings more certainty and more opportunities for in-person events.
