AMCA proudly accepts Industry Appreciation Award from Holmesglen

Published: 26 August 2020

The AMCA is very proud to receive the Industry Appreciation Award from Holmesglen TAFE, which is recognition of the strong partnership shared by both organisations and exemplified by the HVAC Centre of Excellence at Holmesglen’s Chadstone Campus.

Delivered with funding from the Workforce Training Innovation Fund, the state-of-the-art facility provides a leading example of how partnerships between industry and training providers can drive quality outcomes both employees and employers.

Purpose-built and fitted out with the latest technologies, the centre caters to the training needs of both new students and post-trade practitioners, allowing them to apply their learning in an environment that can be tailored to replicate the challenges faced under working conditions.

The centre also helps to promote the wonderfully diverse, rewarding and dynamic career paths available in the HVAC industry.

In awarding the Industry Appreciation Award, Holmesglen Institute thanked the AMCA for helping to source industry experts and for being “instrumental in gaining government support through the Workforce Innovation Training Fund.”

AMCA Chief Executive, Scott Williams, thanked Holmesglen for the award, calling it “a humbling public acknowledgement of a partnership that has been nurtured over many years.”

“The prosperity of our industry depends on the skills of its people. So, we are proud to collaborate with Holmesglen to exchange ideas about how to deliver the high-quality training that the industry has come to expect from a Holmesglen education."

“Of course, the benefit of this collaboration is best exemplified by the development of state-of-the-art HVAC Centre of Excellence, but it has also yielded a wide range of projects with tangible improvements in training outcomes for both employees and employers.”

“We look forward to continuing our mutually rewarding partnership for years to come.”

Having already received the CIBSE Building Performance Award for Learning and Development and been named a finalist for ARBS Industry Awards to be announced in October, the Holmesglen award is the latest acknowledgement of the AMCA’s training and education strategy.
