At the gala dinner held as part of the ARBS 2018, David Seedsman of the AMCA was inducted into the ARBS Hall of Fame.

David Seedsman has a long and distinguished career in the air conditioning and mechanical services industry. He was appointed General Manager in 1980 and began working closely with Allan Coombs, and later with Phillip Coombs, who he mentored for several years.

David’s leadership skills and experience were invaluable during difficult times in the industry, especially during the recession, and played a pivotal role in securing high profile projects for the company.

In 1996 David joined AE Smith & Son as National Construction Manager. He had responsibility for all construction covering Queensland , NSW, Victoria and Tasmania. During his 15 years service at A E Smith, David was involved in the negotiation of numerous landmark projects until his retirement in August 2011.

David represented the Air Conditioning and Mechanical Contractors Association (AMCA) in Victoria. He served continuously on the AMCA Victorian Executive from 1978 to 2002; and served as State President from 1989 to 1991. He also chaired a number of AMCA committees during his term on the AMCA Executive. David was an integral contributor to the development of the AMCA Managing for Profit program for over ten years. This program has trained and developed a number of future leaders of our industry.

David was made a life member of AMCA Victoria in 2008, in recognition of his exemplary contribution to the Association.

A very worthy inductee.
