Air and water commissioning
Attendees will receive a comprehensive overview of the key elements of air and water commissioning, including the use of test instruments, best practices, establishing control set points, the use of fan and pump curves, and industry standard reporting and documentation.

Attendees can expect to come away with a better understanding of the following:

  • Which test instruments to use and in what situation
  • How to balance and calibrate a VAV box     
  • The difference between standard balancing valves and PICV
  • Best ways to balance air and water
  • Establishing control set points for air and water systems
  • When to use a fan or pump curve and how to interpret data
  • The ten most common problems when commissioning a fire stair system
  • Industry standard testing and commissioning report and documentation.

About the speaker

Derek Olson, Olson Environment 

Derek is the technical director of his own testing and balancing firm Olson Environment. He was the first NEBB Certified professional in Western Australia and is a current board member of NEBB Australia.

Cancellation Policy

The AMCA reserve the right to cancel, postpone or reschedule events and training courses due to insufficient interest or other reasons beyond our control. In the instance that events or training courses are cancelled, a full refund will be given.

Refund Policy

A full refund will be given if the AMCA is notified in writing a minimum of 4 business days prior to the course commencement date. A 50% administration charge will be incurred if the AMCA is notified within 3 business days or less. No refund will be given if the AMCA is not notified of cancellation.
