Maintain Building Essential Safety Measures Day 2. Practical

AMCA NSW, in partnership with TAFE NSW, is proud to provide an Essential Service Maintenance Course - Maintain Building Essential Safety Measures to meet NSW Regulatory Requirements. The Skillset this course will cover is described in the Australian Standard AS 1851- 2012 - Inspection, test, preventative maintenance and survey of fire and smoke control features of mechanical services systems. A purpose-built ESM Training Simulator has been constructed on site at TAFE NSW St George Campus.

This course was created by the Air Conditioning & Mechanical Contractors Association of Australia limited to share knowledge, support talent, and promote growth across the industry.

Learning Outcomes

Plan and carry out safety tests on key essential safety services in commercial buildings; Coordinate maintenance of essential safety measures; Identify the relevant building codes and standards related to the essential safety services being tested and maintained: Appropriately document tests, maintenance and faults.

Prerequisites

Relevant mechanical services trades qualifications from a recognized technical institution; and Minimum of three years’ experience in maintenance, commissioning, inspection or testing of fire and smoke control systems.

Duration and delivery

This is a two part Course Day 1 - Theory Day 2 - Practical

Face-to-face learning/assessment and scheduled classes. Workplace learning and practical assessment. AMCA & TAFE NSW Training simulator

Delivery

This course takes place across two full days, comprising face-to-face learning via scheduled classes, workplace learning, and practical assessment.

We offer the course 4 times a year.

This course is offered to AMCA members and RACCA members at a discounted rate, with complimentary tea and coffee provided on the day.

Refund and cancellation policy

A full refund will be provided if the AMCA is notified in writing at least 10 working days prior to the course. We reserve the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule due to insufficient registrations or other reasons beyond our control. In the event of a cancellation, a full refund will be provided.

Cancellation Policy

The AMCA reserve the right to cancel, postpone or reschedule events and training courses due to insufficient interest or other reasons beyond our control. In the instance that events or training courses are cancelled, a full refund will be given.

Refund Policy

A full refund will be given if the AMCA is notified in writing a minimum of 4 business days prior to the course commencement date. A 50% administration charge will be incurred if the AMCA is notified within 3 business days or less. No refund will be given if the AMCA is not notified of cancellation.
