Qualification outcomes
Certificate IV in Project Management
Once you have completed all assessment requirements to a satisfactory level, you will be issued with a Certificate IV in Project Management Practice (BSB41515). If you do not complete the course, or if there are any units you are not yet deemed to be competent in, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the units you completed.
Learning outcomes
This program is designed to provide you with a theoretical understanding of contract management and its practical implementation.
Your coursework will cover:
- Assessment of the organisation context for projects
- Application of project management principles to workplace initiatives
- Application of project strategies
- Identification of suitable project structures and teams
- Management of stakeholder relationships
- Implementation of techniques to monitor, control, and report on project progress
- Analytics of project outcomes
- Identification of links between project outcomes and business benefits
Eligibility requirements
This program is best suited to those who are new to project management, with 2 years of relevant experience.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Recently appointed project managers
- Aspiring project managers
- Business and technical professionals who require more in-depth knowledge of project management principles and practices
Delivery and assessment
The program takes approximately 3 months to complete, supported by at least 4 hours of self-directed learning and workplace assessment each week. It is based on a blended learning approach, incorporating traditional face-to-face delivery, distance learning, and workshop sessions.
Face-to-face delivery, which will involve group work activities and discussion, will take place at the AMCA headquarters located in Burwood, Victoria. Attendance is mandatory, as knowledge sharing is a key component of the program.
Students must complete a workplace project or task and submit a case study prior to commencing the course.

Course costs include course materials, morning tea, afternoon tea, and lunches. They exclude airfares and accommodation. Students requiring a replacement certificate will be charged an additional $25.

Refund and cancellation policy
A full refund of the enrolment fee will be provided if the AMCA is notified in writing at least 10 working days prior to the course commencement date. Participant substitutes will be considered if they fit the course criteria, with notification to be provided in writing. We reserve the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule the program due to insufficient registrations or other reasons beyond our control. In the event of a program cancellation, a full refund will be provided.
